How can I place an order for delivery?
Orders are placed online through our website and you can pick your delivery date and time slot during the checkout steps. Orders are securely handled and an order confirmation email is sent to you immediately. Online orders can be placed at any time and are processed on the same or next business day.
What is the cost of delivery?
We offer free weekday delivery for almost every postcode in the United Kingdom. Fees apply for timed deliveries, Saturday delivery or for customers in remote areas. Details of delivery restrictions and fees can be found on the the delivery page of this website.
How soon can you deliver?
We offer delivery approximately 2 working days after you place your order. Please choose your item, and at the checkout you can use the calendar which will show the earliest day you can choose for delivery.
Can the driver call me when he is on his way?
We use Pallet track to deliver your order. We can put in the delivery notes to ask if the driver can call when en route however this is not guaranteed, so please do not rely on the driver to call you to make sure your in. If you may not be in to sign for it all day, we suggest you select a pre 12pm or pre 10am delivery slot for the small fee, so you don't miss it and incur re delivery charges,
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept any major debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch). We also accept Paypal as a form of payment.
I've just ordered, what happens now?
Your delivery of firewood will be made on the date that you selected during checkout. If for any reason we cannot deliver on your desired date, we will be in contact to arrange an alternative.
Will the driver carry the nets to my property?
No, this is a guaranteed kerbside delivery. It arrives on a pallet and is wheeled off a tail lift lorry with a pump truck to a flat safe area at the discretion of the driver. Your order comes on a 1.2m wide pallet, so usually cannot be wheeled through a normal gate Please make sure you read the terms of delivery at the checkout.
Can I get next day delivery?
At present no, when you make your order please click the calendar and it will show the closest available date in your area. It is usually 2-3 working days from point of order.
Can I collect?
Collection is not available, however we can deliver on a day you choose at the checkout.
Can the driver put my wood over my wall?
We deliver using an 18T tail lift lorry with a pallet pump truck, we do not have access to lorries with a crane to do this.
Can I call and get specific time for delivery?
Standard free delivery is between 8am and 6pm. We are unable to contact drivers to find out a time slot if you have selected free delivery.
What if I am not home when delivery is attempted?
If you are not in to sign for the delivery, the driver will not leave your order unless you have ticked the box at checkout that allows the delivery to be accepted without signature. If you have not ticked this box and you are not in, the driver will attempt to contact you on the number you provided. If we cannot contact you the delivery will be returned to the depot and you will be contacted to arrange an alternative day. There will be a £50 redelivery charge if this happens so please make sure you are in on the day you have chosen or have ticked the box at checkout.
Can the driver take the pallet?
We are sorry the courier can't take the pallet away. However it does make good kindling in your fire.
What is the average moisture content of kiln dried logs?
Our average moisture content of kiln dried logs is 15%, but kiln dried is classed as anything under 20%.
What is the best wood?
Ash is known as the best for clean burning and high heat output, as it is the most calorific. Oak is also a very good choice due to a slightly longer burn time due to its density and slightly lower heat output. The difference is personal preference between Ash and Oak.
